Pinterest Boards Showcase Range of NFL Fandom through Diverse Original Content

New York, NY – April 30th 2015 – NFL fans are now on the clock – ready, set, pin!

In celebration of the NFL Draft kicking off tonight in Chicago, the National Football League (NFL) today launched a variety of official Pinterest boards at featuring engaging content for fans of all 32 teams.  To support the launch, the NFL has teamed with Kristin Cavallari (TV personality, fashion designer and wife of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler) and Chicago Bears Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus for web videos highlighting the new social platforms.

The first video launched today, and the second will launch tomorrow at 11 AM EST. Visit and follow the official NFL Fan Style Facebook page to view these videos.

“I am very excited to help introduce the new NFL Pinterest boards,” said Cavallari. “I will obviously be on the Chicago Bears Style board during the Draft and even have my own Kristin’s Pins board! One Million New Students Will Get Active Through NFL FLAG Essentials Kits to Boost Activity and Encourage Kids to ‘Play 60’ Nationwide

CHICAGO, Ill. (April 29, 2015) – NFL, USA Football, GENYOUth and Fuel Up to Play 60 today announced the expansion of their commitment to youth health and wellness by giving NFL FLAG Essentials Kits to one million students across 2,500 schools nationwide, including 10 focus cities: Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Jacksonville, Miami, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and San Francisco.  The expansion is made possible by a $1 million commitment from NFL Foundation.

The announcement was made by Chicago Mayor RAHM EMANUEL, CEO of GENYOUth ALEXIS GLICK and NFL Commissioner ROGER GOODELL at the 2015 NFL Draft Youth Football Clinic in Chicago’s Grant Park.

Service Members, St. Jude Patient and Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year to Appear

In addition to the excitement of Draft prospects taking the stage at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, several special guests will also have the opportunity to be a part of the proceedings.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® Pick Announcement

St. Jude patient SAMANTHA JONES will join COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL to announce a pick during the third round of the Draft. NFL PLAY 60 is the “official champion of play” at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, helping to give all kids the chance to PLAY 60 and lead active and healthy lives. Sam, 13, from Dunlap, IL, is currently being treated at St. Jude for Ewing sarcoma, a type of bone cancer. She is a Chicago Bears fan. Earlier this year, during the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, NFL Network host RICH EISEN ran the 11th annual ‘Run Rich Run’ 40-yard dash to benefit the NFL PLAY 60 relationship with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Service Member Recognition

Over the course of Draft week, more than 90 service members will participate in NFL events. A service member from the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America will open the Draft by performing the National Anthem on Thursday evening.  She will be joined by wounded warriors from Wounded Warrior Project and eight active-duty service members. A color guard will also be standing during Selection Square during the Anthem.

In addition, Pat Tillman Foundation Scholars and their guests, along with active duty service members from the Army, Air Force, Marines and Navy will be guests at the Draft on Friday for Rounds 2-3. During the third round on Friday, a service member from the Army will announce a Draft pick.

Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Moment

The NFL and the Panthers will recognize THOMAS DAVIS, winner of the 2014 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award presented by Nationwide. Davis will announce the Panthers first round selection.

2015 NFL Draft Marks Greatest Former Player Participation In Draft History

6 Hall of Fame Members Among 32 Former Legends to Announce Round 2 Selections

As fans nationwide gear up to celebrate future football stars at the 2015 NFL Draft, which will take place from April 30-May 2, the NFL will recognize former Legends throughout the week-long Draft celebration in Chicago. From welcoming prospects to the Draft at The Intro event in Pioneer Court, to announcing Round 2 selections, former players will be celebrated at a variety of Draft festivities.

Thirty-two former players, one representing each team, will be featured for Round 2 presented by Bud Light to announce selections on Friday, May 1 beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University.
