Scouting Fellowship Program For Former Players Created By NFL Football Development Department

A new program designed to encourage former NFL players to pursue a career in professional scouting will launch this year, the NFL announced today.

The NUNN-WOOTEN SCOUTING FELLOWSHIP, named in honor of longtime Steelers personnel director BILL NUNN and former NFL player and front office executive JOHN WOOTEN, will be administered by the NFL’s Football Development Department. The objective of the program is to provide former players who are interested in becoming a professional scout an opportunity to observe and participate in how the scouting process works at NFL clubs.
