28 of 30 Most-Watched Shows This Fall Are NFL Games

Games Top Local Ratings in 26 NFL Markets

NFL telecasts were the three most-watched shows on television last week with the FOX national telecast (mostly Eagles-Packers) topping the charts with 26.5 million average viewers. The Patriots-Colts matchup on NBC’s Sunday Night Football held the second spot for the week, averaging 20.8 million viewers, followed by the CBS single window (mostly Broncos-Rams and Raiders-Chargers) which drew an average of 17.9 million viewers to round out the top three.

This marks the 11th time in 11 weeks that an NFL game has topped the weekly viewership charts, and the 10th time in 11 weeks that at least two NFL games have topped the weekly viewership charts.

NFL game windows account for the top 11 and 28 of the top 30 most-watched shows on television since the NFL season kicked off on Sept. 4.
