To kick off the week leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII, multiplatinum recording artists FALL OUT BOY will perform during halftime of the 2014 PRO BOWL PRESENTED BY MCDONALD’S, the NFL announced today.

The 2014 Pro Bowl, featuring the revised “unconferenced” format, will be played on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The game will be televised live on NBC at 7:00 PM ET and is played one week before Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey on Sunday, February 2.

Tickets to the 2014 Pro Bowl are now on sale through http://www.ticketmaster.com. Fans may also call 1-800-745-3000 or visit the Aloha Stadium box office.

The Pro Bowl halftime show will feature the GRAMMY-nominated band FALL OUT BOY, who will play selections from their newest album SAVE ROCK AND ROLL. They will perform their new hit “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” and their breakthrough single, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” while accompanied by a card stunt, Hawaiian drummers, fire knife dancers and the Pro Bowl Cheerleaders. The performance celebrates the 2013 NFL season and will pay tribute to the fans of the NFL.

SAVE ROCK AND ROLL is the gold certified fifth studio album from the GRAMMY-nominated band FALL OUT BOY and features the multiplatinum hit “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)” and the new hit “Alone Together.” SAVE ROCK AND ROLL debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 and #1 on iTunes in 27 countries when it was released in April.  This is the band’s second #1 debut; Platinum selling “Infinity On High” topped the chart in 2007 which followed multiplatinum breakthrough album “From Under The Cork Tree” released in 2005. Hailing from Chicago, Fall Out Boy—Patrick Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Trohman (guitar) and Andy Hurley (drums)—has appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone and other prestigious publications. They have performed on Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and many more.  The band wrapped up 2013 by appearing with Taylor Swift at the Victoria Secrets fashion show in December following their second sold out tour of 2013, performing in arenas in support of SAVE ROCK AND ROLL.

The halftime show featuring FALL OUT BOY will be televised by NBC.

The Pro Bowl has been played annually since 1980 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, with the exception of 2009, when it was played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.

The Pro Bowl players were determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counted one-third toward determining the 86 Pro Bowl selections. Two additional “need” players will be chosen by each head coach and must be long snappers. The 2014 Pro Bowl coaching staffs will be comprised of the losing teams in the AFC and NFC Divisional playoffs with the best regular-season record.
